Nett Reverse* Premium De-alcoholised Red by Weingut Bergdolt-Reif & Nett from Germany *NEW PRODUCT*
From one of the most modern wineries in the Palatinate wine growing region in the south west of Germany comes the 5th generation award winning Weingut Bergdolt-Reif & Nett. Under senior winemaker Christian Nett, the winery was awarded a Platinum medal and 97 points from the prestigious Decanter World Wine award in 2020.
In 2023 Nett was awarded Best in Show for their Ultra Premium Breakaway Pinot Blanc at ProWein held annually in Düsseldorf, Germany. 2022 was their first year producing non-alcoholic wine.
Since 2011 their organically certified vineyards had used horsepower almost exclusively to cultivate the soil. This allows the soil to breathe better which results in a higher quality grape and improvement in the quality in the wine. The vines grow in an almost Mediterranean landscape.
This Reverse* Premium De-alcoholised Red is a sensational new blended red from Christian Nett using a next generation de-alcoholising technique that dramatically reduces the sugar levels and creates a "real wine" taste.
The Red is an elegant and very dry non-alcoholic the taste is light and fresh and is reminiscent of berries, cherry and is fruity on the mouth with notes of fruit tea and rosehip. It has a little acid and good tannins. It really reminds the drinker of a real red wine feeling and is a blend using Dornfelder and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes.
It can be served at room temperature or slightly chilled in the summer time.
This Red contains less than 0.5% Alcohol By Volume, 2.3 gms sugars and 13 kcal per 100 gms and is aged in stainless steel tanks. A product of the Palatinate region in Germany.
*Reverse refers to the delicate removal of alcohol or "reversing" the alcohol.
In September 2023 the prestigious Selection Das-Wein media group awarded the Premium De-alcoholised Red their Gold Medal with 4 stars.
